1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies are, how Vectorwise LLC, a limited liability company formed in Wyoming, United States, trading as Vavio (“we”, “us”, “our”), uses them on our website and inside the Vavio product (together, the “Service”), and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make sites work properly, remember preferences, secure sessions, and understand how a site is used. In this policy, “cookies” also covers similar client-side technologies such as local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDK identifiers, where they perform a similar function.
3. First-party and third-party cookies
First-party cookies are set by us directly. Third-party cookies are set by trusted service providers we use (for example, hosting, authentication, analytics, advertising, support). Third parties may also set cookies through content we embed on our website or that you choose to embed via the Service.
4. Categories of cookies we use
We group cookies by the purpose they serve:
- Strictly necessary: required for the website and product to function — for example, authentication, session management, security, load balancing, and remembering your cookie preferences. These do not require consent under UK/EU e-privacy rules.
- Functional: remember choices you make (e.g. language, region, display preferences) to improve the experience. Where required by law, we ask for consent before setting these.
- Analytics and performance: help us understand how the Service is used so we can fix bugs and improve features. Where required by law, we ask for consent and, where possible, configure analytics to minimise identification of individuals.
- Advertising: measure campaign effectiveness, attribute conversions, and (where you consent) personalise advertising on third-party platforms. These are only set after you give consent where required by law.
5. Categories of providers we use
We rely on the following categories of third-party providers, which may set their own cookies or similar technologies:
- Hosting and infrastructure — site delivery, performance, and security.
- Authentication and database — signing you in, keeping your session secure, storing account data.
- Payments — processing subscriptions and billing.
- Email and notifications — sending service messages and (with consent where required) marketing.
- Product analytics and error monitoring — understanding usage trends and diagnosing problems.
- Advertising platforms — measuring and (with consent) optimising marketing campaigns across major search and social platforms. With consent, the following tags may transmit cookie and device identifiers, page visits, and conversion events to the named providers for advertising and measurement:
- Microsoft Corporation via the Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) tag — Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- Google LLC via Google Ads and Google tag (gtag) — Google Privacy Policy.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. via the Meta Pixel — Meta Privacy Policy.
- LinkedIn Corporation via the LinkedIn Insight Tag — LinkedIn Privacy Policy.
- AI model providers — generating AI responses for our Customers’ agents, as described in our Privacy Policy.
A current list of providers in each category is available on request via hello@vavio.ai.
6. How long cookies last
Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period (typically up to thirteen months for cookies set under EU/UK consent rules, and longer for strictly necessary cookies where required) or until you delete them. Authentication and security cookies last as long as needed to keep you signed in and secure. You can clear cookies at any time by signing out, clearing your browser data, or using the controls described in Section 7.
7. Your choices
You have several ways to control cookies:
- Our cookie banner and preferences: on first visit, our cookie banner asks for consent where required. You can change your choices at any time using the “Manage cookies” link in the footer.
- Your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies and warn you before they are set. Browser settings vary — see your browser’s help pages for instructions.
- Industry opt-outs: for advertising cookies, you can use industry opt-out tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) and the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) in addition to our preferences.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the Service works (for example, you may not be able to stay signed in or save settings). Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time — withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. Because there is no common industry standard for DNT, we do not currently respond to DNT signals on our website. Where required by applicable law, we honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a request to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices, the Service, or applicable law. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, request consent again or notify you in another suitable way. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acknowledgement of the updated policy.
